Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, today heads a working visit to the municipalities of Majagua and Florencia, in the province of Ciego de Ávila, for various economic and social objectives.

He is accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organisation of the Central Committee of the Party, and the main political and governmental authorities of the province.

This visit marks the end of the first cycle of such visits to the province, focused, among other things, on boosting the economy, strengthening unity, and appreciating the transformation of vulnerable neighbourhoods and communities.

This working day began with the Mártires del Moncada agricultural and livestock labour collective, belonging to the Ciego de Ávila Poultry Company, located in the locality of Guayacanes, Majagua, which reactivated its work through cooperative production.
