Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, began his working visit to the province today with the inauguration of the Rojas photovoltaic solar park, located in the municipality of Remedios, in the municipality of Villaclare.

The station synchronised to the National Electric System on March 16, 2025 with an installed power of 21.87 megawatts and more than 42 thousand solar panels.

Díaz-Canel will also tour centres of socio-economic interest in the nearby municipality of Encrucijada, including developing communities, independent producers with positive results in the intensive generation of food and local industries of construction materials.
