The repair work on the 800 mm Conduit fault affecting the city’s water supply has concluded successfully. Following the resolution of the problem, operations and pumping from the southern and northern sources of the municipal head were restarted.
The President of the Municipal Assembly of the People’s Power, Viviana Martínez Cardenas, recognised on her social media the 72 hours of uninterrupted work by the technical team: «One part was dedicated to resolving the fault, while the other attended to the supply with water tankers». She especially thanked the effort and dedication of the technical brigades, highlighting their professionalism, sacrifice, and commitment in the face of a challenge of great magnitude.
The restoration of the service will be carried out gradually according to the following schedule:
- Low zone: From 2:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on 17 April (tank recovery from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).
- Middle zone: From 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on 17 April (tank recovery from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).
- High zone: From 9:00 p.m. on 17 April to 9:00 a.m. on 18 April.
Once the cycle in City Centre is completed, supply to the 200,000-litre Cistern, which supplies Isabel and Arnaldo Ramírez streets, including the Ortiz Development, will resume.
