Broad academic and cultural exchange at PsicoÁvila 2025

The seventh International Symposium PsicoÁvila 2025 became an academic and cultural exchange with the sole objective of improving the mental health of the individual. This was evident in the workshops, conferences and master classes.

Anxiety is a phenomenon that is on the rise in the population due to the socio-economic and psychological conditions that affect a large part of the world. On this subject, Dr Kam Chai Chai, a psychologist from Mexico, gave a workshop class on how to cope with this feeling, which can manifest itself in fear, trepidation and restlessness. Through simple techniques he demonstrated how this feeling can be alleviated. A hug, a look, a holding of hands can help the person affected.

Dr Kam Chai claims that this is a phenomenon that sometimes used to occur in people over 50 years of age, but now children from the age of 4 years onwards come to his consultations. Based on this and his personal experiences, he decided to write the book Anxiety, 50 techniques for its treatment, which was presented at PsicoÁvila 2025.

The event also included lectures on community psychology and its strategies, inclusive education and child and youth depression, among others.

The seventh PsicoÁvila 2025 International Symposium was the setting for dialogue and exchange on the phenomena affecting societies today and to seek tools to improve the mental health of individuals. (Written by Mariesly Wong Morales)
