Rainer Nodal, Amanda Beatriz Ortega, Yeinier Delgado Abreu, Yudiannis Barrera and Sian Javier Reyes Burgos «La Figura» will represent the province of Ciego de Ávila at the Fourth International Meeting of Improvisers, Oralitura Habana, to be held from 25 to 28 September in the country’s capital

The event brings together creators from various provinces and nations to pay homage to the tradition of verse improvisation, Cuban punto and popular poetry, combining music and improvisation with performances and educational workshops

This event includes concerts, improviser showdowns, masterclasses, book presentations and debates with national and international specialists

A closing ceremony performed by Spanish singer-songwriter Pedro Pastor is also planned, with the special participation of figures such as Cuban troubadour Heidi Igualada

During the Fourth International Meeting of Improvisers, Havana will become the world capital of the décima and an opportunity for the Avilanians, chosen from amongst the thirty participating Cubans, to prove their artistic worth, steeped in both tradition and contemporaneity
