From 20 November until 22 December, numerous activities are being developed in the Avilanian municipality of Morón as part of the Period for Educator’s Day.

In the territory, the start of this stage of tribute was marked by a symbolic assault, led by the children of the Flor del Festival Nursery School, on the Municipal Directorate of Education.

The actions continued with the holding of special morning assemblies this 26th November in educational institutions to remember the murder of the teacher Manuel Ascunce Domenech alongside his student, the peasant Pedro Lantigua, by counter-revolutionary bands.

In the coming days, workshops and discussion sessions with teachers will be held, teachers with a broad and distinguished trajectory in the sector will be recognised, and monitors will deliver classes. (Author: Yhosvany Jimenez Hdez)
