A series of communication and prevention actions to prevent forest fires are being deployed by different forces and sectors in the municipality of Morón, in a task that is a constant concern in the territory.
Specialists from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, together with those of Flora and Fauna and the Forest Ranger Corps, insist on the adoption of prudent measures to avoid forest fires.
The main causes detected are related to the dumping of unlit cigarettes or cigars in these areas, as well as the crossing of equipment without spark extinguishers at different times of the day.
Non-compliance with current legislation was also confirmed, with particular emphasis on the circulation or parking within the wooded areas and their boundaries, as well as the burning of crop residues.
Specific indications have been issued on how to act to avoid fires in agricultural and rural lands, including preventive measures in pastures and crops, as well as a greater awareness of the responsible use of fire.
