Sugar Transport Workers Focus on Equipment Maintenance and Repairs

With the 2024-2025 Sugar Harvest nearing its conclusion, workers at the Morón Mechanised Transport Services Base (TRANZMEC) in Ciego de Ávila province are engaged in equipment preservation and repair operations.

The Morón-based workforce has initiated maintenance procedures to safeguard the majority of vehicles and trailers used during the recent harvest. Mechanics and drivers are currently performing engine cleaning, tyre and battery storage, and the application of preservatives like grease.

TRANZMEC officials in Morón confirmed that some vehicles will remain operational through year-end, primarily serving units of the AZCUBA Sugar Group.

During the 2024-2025 harvest, the Morón transport base deployed SINOTRUK and KAMAZ vehicles alongside trailers and mobile workshops to address field repairs directly in sugarcane plantations.
