Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, participated today in the High Level meeting of the Group of Friends in Defence of the UN Charter, as part of their work agenda in Geneva, Switzerland.
Rodríguez Parrilla stressed in X that his country will continue to promote and defend multilateralism and the purposes and principles of the Charter and International Law, in the face of those who seek to reinstate a unipolar world by force.
Founded in 2021, the main objective of the Group of Friends in Defence of the UN Charter is to protect and promote the fundamental principles established in that international treaty.
Its members are Algeria, Belarus, Bolivia, China, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Iran, Mali, Nicaragua, Palestine, Russia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Syria and Zimbabwe.
During his visit to Geneva, the Cuban Foreign Minister took part this Monday in the opening of the 58th regular session of the Human Rights Council.
