The personal decision to go to the battlefield dressed as soldiers where the rifle was transformed into intelligence, courage, voluntariness, disinterest, humanism and solidarity to defeat the COVID-19, is a reality demonstrated by Jessyka Rojas Sánchez and Alier Reina Delgado.
Both received the «Youth for Life» award, the highest granted by the Union of Young Communists of Cuba, to whom they gave their body and soul to neutralize the dangerous and threatening pandemic.
They carried out their work as messengers and in the fight against line repeaters, hoarders and resellers.
The condition «Youth for Life» was given at the meeting of the Popular Council of Gaspar, municipality of Baraguá, province of Ciego de Ávila, presided over by its president Eric Llamas Castellanos.
Also attending the event were the delegates of the districts, the community factors, and as main authorities Yamilka González Riverón First Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party, Anisley Gómez Rodríguez, President of the Assembly of People’s Power, Mabel Ugarte de Oro, Vice President; and Secretary Marlene Pérez Rodríguez.
