Students and professors of the University of Medical Sciences of Ciego de Avila participate in the active home investigations as part of the prevention of Covid-19.
More than a thousand young people from the specialties of Medicine and Stomatology are involved in the task guided by the Ministry of Public Health to increase control over the virus, said the institution’s rector, Dr. Angel Enrique Batista Diaz.
After their training and compliance with protective measures, the students exchange with neighbors at the doors of their homes and take an interest in their state of health, which helps to detect possible suspicious cases of Covid-19.
In addition to active investigations in homes, students and health professionals in Ciego de Ávila act in community health hearings to prevent the spread of the deadly respiratory virus.
