In order to preserve the health of students, in view of the resurgence of COVID-19, the Defense Council in Ciego de Ávila decided to temporarily close all schools, that is, all 378 centers in the province, and 34 children’s circles, as of this Wednesday.
Bárbara Rodríguez Milián, Head of the Education, Culture and Sports subgroup, informed that this decision will be maintained until the hygienic epidemiological conditions improve.
The leader recommended that during the period that the school year remains paralyzed, the students should be incorporated into the visualization of the educational activities that are being transmitted on television for each educational level.
Rodríguez Milián insisted that the family must look for all possible alternatives to keep the students at home, strictly comply with the oriented media and keep informed through radio and television, in view of the resurgence of the deadly pandemic in Ciego de Ávila, individual responsibility is a determining factor to preserve something as important as life.
