Cuban health authorities confirmed this Friday seven new cases of COVID-19 in the province of Ciego de Ávila, among them one imported case.
Doctor Francisco Durán García, director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, informed that in the last hours, three patients from Majagua municipality were diagnosed, one from Ciro Redondo, one from Chambas, and one from Florencia.
The imported one is a 33-year-old Cuban citizen, resident in the municipality of Ciego de Ávila, province of the same name. There are 157 contacts under surveillance.
In the municipality of Majagua, the medical services diagnosed a 21-year-old Cuban citizen, a contact of a previously confirmed case, and 16 contacts are kept under surveillance.
The report includes a Cuban citizen of 85 years old, resident in Majagua municipality, Ciego de Ávila province, contact of previously confirmed cases. 8 contacts are kept under surveillance.
Also, in the territory of Majagua, they reported the infection of a 45-year-old Cuban citizen. Contact of previously confirmed cases. 21 contacts are kept under surveillance.
The patient from Florencia is a 42-year-old Cuban citizen. The source of infection is being investigated. 9 contacts are kept under surveillance.
The patient from Chambas is a Cuban citizen of 42 years old. The source of infection is investigated. There are kept in surveillance 21 contacts.
The case of Ciro Redondo is a 46-year-old Cuban citizen. The source of infection is being investigated. 27 contacts are kept under surveillance.
