In spite of the effects of the COVID-19, the Business Base Unit of School Transportation, in Ciego de Ávila, maintains favorable economic indicators.
This was reported by Orlando Negrín Gómez, director of this entity in the province, who also informed that all the bases in the territory comply with the established plans and indicators.
The director said that they are working with a plan adjusted to the level of activities, services related to the COVID-19, and transportation to essential organizations linked to production and services.
The unit shows incomes exceeding two million pesos while maintaining the technical availability ratio at 75 percent.
Negrín Gómez added that during the epidemic stage, three buses were recovered which, together with the new buses assigned for this service in the province, will guarantee greater punctuality and quality in the transportation.
The director declared that 60 buses are ready for the beginning of the course, once the phase of new normality in the territory is decreed.
