The application of first line medicines such as Biomodulin T, Nasalferon and Hebertrans, becomes one of the actions included in the plan of measures that will be implemented in Ciego de Ávila, after the visit to the territory of the group of specialists and scientists sent by the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, to contain the resurgence of COVID-19.
Ileana Morales Suárez, at the head of the team and National Director of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health, said that they will begin to provide the drugs to the more than four thousand health workers, to the vulnerable people, to the patients and companions not diagnosed with the disease admitted in the Avilanian hospitals and to the contacts of those confirmed.
In a meeting held this Tuesday at the University of Medical Sciences Dr. Jose Assef Yara, Moráles Suárez explained that they are medicines of excellence, with a high security and most with more than three decades of application. Likewise, he specified that this plan includes 29 organizational, preventive and therapeutic measures, whose effectiveness will depend on the discipline, the integral work, the respect to the protocols and the support of the population, of directors, and mass organizations.
