After 11 months without providing services, a great activity characterizes the Provincial Campus of Pioneer Explorers Roberto Rodríguez Fernández, located in the community La Manchuria in the municipality of Majagua to turn it into an isolation center.
Such determination responds to the proposal of the member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Félix Duarte Ortega, who together with other leaders participated in a work meeting aimed at analyzing the causes of the high incidence rate of cases of people infested with COVID-19 in the southwest of the province.
For this initial stage, this facility will have three cabins and two other areas to accommodate people infected with the pandemic, coming from different areas of the territory, a number that could be increased if necessary, in addition to having its own kitchen for the preparation of food.
With the opening of the provincial Pioneer Explorers Camp as an isolation center, the capacities destined to this function in the territory will exceed one hundred, since previously two facilities of the oil sector, an equal number of recreational lodging centers and a boarding school of the Ministry of Education had been placed at the service of the Ministry of Public Health.
