I don’t live in a perfect society

I don’t live in a perfect society, and we know that nothing is like yesterday. Perhaps the turbulence of tensions that the world is experiencing is the cause of this comment, but I am not going to talk about COVID 19, nor about wars.

I will appeal to the contrary and I argue it this way because beyond the contradictions that can exist between human beings, harmony and spiritual good sense also prevail.

The scenario I will describe to you is a sublime example of this story. A few days ago, a young media professional, after giving birth to a new life, was confined to a bed in the intensive care unit of the Antonio Luces Iraola provincial hospital in the Avilanian capital.

The news spread and many joined the multitude of people who, on the social networks and from different parts, joined the clamor for her speedy recovery, a detonator of love that for days united us in the hope of good news, giving encouragement to the family and also sharing the pain.

What name should we give to such a human gesture?

Who said that all is lost?

Once again the values of solidarity prevail, common people who offer their virtues and from their hearts also ask to see the new mother smile again.

This way of acting describes the sense that characterizes the men and women of this island, who feel the pride and empathy of sharing even the most difficult moments.

I do not know the precepts that govern a perfect society, but to my people and to Cuba, I give 100 out of 100 in this matter.
