The control of the licenses, and the evaluation of the environmental impact that generates the man´s action, is one of the objectives of the work of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment (CITMA) in the Avilanian territory of Morón.
Rolando Barroso, CITMA’s environmental specialist, declared that it is necessary to control the works that are executed in the tourist destination Jardines del Rey so that the ecosystem is less vulnerable.
Among the greatest concerns, said Barroso, are the changes in the natural drainage generated by the anthropogenic action because sometimes they can affect the rest of the components of the ecosystem.
This is very important if we consider the development of the tourist pole, which is already expanding to the cays Coco, Guillermo, Antón Chico, and Cayo Paredón, so each project must have its own environmental impact license.
