The Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla strongly condemned the armed mercenary incursion into Venezuela, expressing solidarity and support for President Nicolás Maduro and the civic-military union of the Bolivarian and ´Chavista´ people fighting aggression and pandemics.
Strongly condemning the armed mercenary incursion in Venezuela, the Cuban foreign minister wrote on his Twitter social network account.
All our solidarity and support to President Nicolás Maduro and to the civic-military union of the Bolivarian and ´Chavista´ people that fight against aggression and pandemic. Cease imperialist sanctions that cause humanitarian damage, said the diplomat.
Also, among other world organizations and personalities, the European Network of Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution condemned the attempt of armed incursion into Venezuelan territory by a group of mercenaries.
We call for international solidarity to denounce these events and to be alert to this new aggression, they said.
For its part, the Communist Party of Spain demanded respect for the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as firm condemnation of these acts by the international community, reported Telesur.
They also said that this and all destabilizing attempts against Venezuela and its legitimate government and president, Nicolás Maduro, are nothing more than continuous coup attempts against a sovereign people.
According to the source, messages condemning the interference of the United States and Colombia against the Venezuelan people were sent from different parts of the world.
The Venezuelan Minister of Interior and Justice, Nestor Reverol, denounced this Sunday an attempt of incursion by sea in Macuto, in the state of La Guaira, which was frustrated by the local authorities.
«A group of terrorist mercenaries, coming from Colombia, intended to carry out an invasion by the sea with the aim of committing terrorist acts in the country, perpetrating murders of leaders of the revolutionary government and increasing the spiral of violence (…) and with it deriving in a new attempt of coup d’état», declared the minister.
