The province of Ciego de Ávila is decreasing the positive cases of COVID-19; however, it keeps active in several municipalities’ isolation centers for suspicious cases.
The one located in the Faculty of Medical Sciences José Assef Yara is an example in the careful attention to the patients, who are currently undergoing rapid PCR, which favors the speedy treatment of those who are positive to the virus.
A medical team made up of medical students also works voluntarily, with all the established means of protection, to restore health, confirms the vice dean of the medical faculty, Dr. Antonio Berrio.
With their example of altruism, the young Marcos Antonio Hernández, Alejandro Marcano, and Hanoi Castro, among others, give prestige to the isolation center.
