With the worsening of the epidemiological situation, the province of Ciego de Ávila is mobilizing to cut the chain of transmission of COVID-19.
Given the magnitude of the situation, the authorities in the Avilanian capital reinforce actions, including active searches, disinfection of streets, isolation of suspicious cases and restriction of the mobility of people.
In the head municipality, there are 16 quarantine zones with cases of the virus in all health areas, confirmed to our radio station the vice president of the Municipal Defense Council, Ramón Borges González.
The rest of the municipalities of Ciego de Ávila are intensifying health measures, which include, from this Wednesday, the temporary closure of all educational institutions in the province as part of the provisions to protect the population.
