Ciego de Ávila fights to stop COVID-19

With 20 active cases of COVID-19, the province of Ciego de Ávila extreme health measures to protect the population and prevent increased contagion.

The provincial capital is where most cases have been reported in recent days, which has forced the Defense Council to adopt restrictions in an area of the community La Piñera and in the multi-family building known as El Pediátrico.

Along with the isolation in those areas, active searches of neighbors, PCR tests, and fumigation of the areas are being carried out, while special attention is being given to the families, said the president of the Municipal Defense Council, Julio Gómez Casanova.

In Ciego de Ávila province, a group of suspects is being held in health institutions and three isolation centers, where medical personnel defends life with the support of various agencies.
