In strict compliance with measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, educators in Ciego de Ávila contributed to food production by participating in the volunteer workday held this Sunday at the Core Business Unit ´El Mambí´.
In this agricultural area, located in the Popular Council Vicente of the Avilanian territory, the education personnel worked in the sweet potato plantation and the bean harvest.
During the conference, Bismark Salaber Varela, director of education in the province, patented the unconditional support of teachers to food sustainability, at a time when the deadly pandemic is hitting humanity.
Called by the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power and the Administration Council in Ciego de Ávila, more than 200 workers from the educational sector, among others, gave their altruistic contribution to food production, during the third Sunday of volunteer work.
