Journalists in Ciego de Ávila celebrate the Cuban Press Day in the midst of exceptional conditions this 2021, with a moderate program of activities, which reflective axes are based on the defense of the truth, against the intrigue of the media financed by imperialism to discredit the Island.
Jorge Luis Delgado Felipe, president of the Provincial Delegation of the Union of Journalists of Cuba, pointed out that in an acute moment of the communicational campaigns against the Revolution, the greatest challenge is to continue perfecting a model of public press attached to ethics and reality.
In an official statement, the national presidency of UPEC ratified that our professionals «are beings of this galaxy, who wield the word in search of the truth and who have as their metropolis their people, the endeavors and utopia of their country.»
Delgado Felipe, top leader of the organization in the Avilanian territory, affirmed that the present celebration of the Cuban Press Day is taking place in the local guild with full sense of the historical moment and maximum awareness of its mission to fight one more battle against the current campaign of slander, financed by the United States, against the Cuban social project.
