
Conscious of the assumed human work, the professionals in the delivery and cesarean birth rooms of the two hospitals in Ciego de Avila achieve since last year zero maternal and newborn mortality during the complex birth process.
Dr. Sara María Herrera Oliva, head of the Mother and Child Program in the province, explained that the preparation and perseverance of both groups has been vital to the survival of all mothers and children, the obstetricians and nurses have been able to deal with common childbirth complications without deaths to occur in that process – related.
Herrera Oliva added that in the satisfaction of all births it also influences the experience of gynecologists with more years of work in such assistance and effectiveness of care protocols used in the preparation of the gestating for the time they give birth .
In the rooms where new lifes are born in ´Antonio Luaces Irola´ and ´Roberto Rodríguez Fernández´ hospitals, they achieve a greater excellence attendance from the application of new techniques of working with pregnant, instituted at the National Project ´Humanizing Birth´, program promoted in the province by Dr. Ariane Dopazo Companeony.
For best results in satisfying childbirth for both mother and baby, since last year the training of specialists in perinatology is promoted, which contributes to better care of Avilanian women with pregnancy at risk.
