
More than 200,000 Avilanians are expected to participate in the parade on May Day, International Workers’ Day in the central province of Ciego de Avila.
This transcend thisTuesday during a press conference organized by leaders of the workers ‘ organization, where Héctor Benítez Mora, General Secretary of the CTC in the territory, underlined the strength of members in relation to the main theme of the anniversary of Unity, Commitment and victory.
At the meeting, chaired by Yamila Cruz Padrón, Head of the Ideological Department of the Communist Party of Cuba Committee in the province, they were announced the initiatives of the different unions that will give color to the great working parade.
It is Included the health sector which will begin the march due to its results, while union members of Defense Civilians have a responsibility to close the great distinguished Proletarian ceremony.
The head of the CTC in the Land of the Pineapple, also revealed that prior to the anniversary activities and allegorical events will take place in the municipalities of Chambas, Ciro Redondo, Primero de Enero and Ciego de Avila, right on People ‘s Councils located in rural areas.
Similarly on the occasion of the Day of World Proletariat the Revolution Square Máximo Gómez Báez, will host an exhibition show about the most significant achievements of economy in the region, among which they outstand the National Association of Innovators and rationalizer, the communal services Company and the Provincial Department of Transport.
The occasion was propitious to also recognize the performance of various press organs in the province and especially to José Luis Martínez Alejo, winner of the national contest ´May Day´, and Julio García Ruiseco, correspondent for Radio Progreso in Ciego de Ávila.
