The Locution Grove in Ciego de Avila is being benefited from a revival that can make it one of the most beautiful and symbolic sites of the provincial capital.
In a central section of the Fernando Callejas street, the busy thoroughfare has become a beautiful walk way, in which street lights have been replaced by LED lamps, it underwent a general restoration of the gardens, benches and the giant sculpture microphone.
With the creation of this picturesque work we have tried to identify Ciego de Avila in its status as capital of the Cuban locution, as well as honor those who with their magnificent voices behind a microphone, have offered information, culture, recreation, sports and patriot feelings at different stages.
In the grove, a new design of its gardens next to the trees, gives an aesthetic touch that harmonizes with its surroundings.
Beauty and symbolism come together to make an original landscape that marks the city in this work, having the project category, because many initiatives are yet to be materialized, which will rise more the value of the site.
Licensed Luis Alberto Péres Olivia, provincial director of Communal Services says that besides the restored section, the Alameda of the locution will gradually be extended from Máximo Gómez street to the train station, in the south of the city.
The manager explained that in January they will begin working to finish the section that goes from the boulevard to República street, and the fountain near Independencia Street will start in operation.
This unique tour will end up near the park Antonio Maceo, which will also undergo a major overhaul, with reforms and developments in its current aesthetic concept.
The city of Ciego de Avila launched the restoration of its traditional trade center in the middle of this year, which is extending its area, growing in space and beauty, so it must be taken care by passersby to enjoy our beautiful and functional city.
