The so – called Army of the White Robes, of the workers Union of Health, will open the parade on May Day in Ciego de Avila.
The first block will be integrated by nurses from all medical institutions, who celebrate this year the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Society of Nursing.
Hygiene and Epidemiology workers and technicians from Vector will go in the second block, brandishing the achievement of keeping the Ciego de Avila territory without the transmission of Dengue and Zika in the last 12 months.
Doctors, paramedics and personnel management, administration and services of hospitals, clinics, dental clinics, pharmacies and all units providing health services will be integrated into the Proletariat Day ceremony, as well as the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
These centers and health institutions of Ciego de Avila take initiatives to give clarity to the parade, while showing messages reaffirming the revolutionary process, solidarity and commitment to maintain the various services under any circumstances.
Dr. Coralia García Montenegro, general secretary of the Union of Health in the province, said that most of its 16,237 members will participate in parades of their respective municipalities, with the slogan “Unity, commitment and victory.”
The eight delegates and invited one of the Union of Health in Ciego de Avila participating in the Congress of the Confederation of Workers of Cuba, will be in the massive event, which every year in Cuba is like a workers´ party
Also the 1289 international Health cooperating staff in the province that are now in missions will celebrate the International Workers’ Day in the 32 countries in which they work.
