Schools in Ciego de Ávila strengthen the Institutional Educational Project, involving students, teachers, family and community, as part of the Third Educational Improvement
Germán Ávila Álvarez, director of Urban Senior High School ´Comandante Ernesto Guevara´, explained that by working in the school garden they develop industriousness, they take advantage of students´ free time, while delivering vegetables to the children Day Care Center ´Año Internacional de Niño´ and other centers.
Ávila Álvarez added that a novel experience is that emulation activities became the most important activity for parents, teachers and the community.
Master Wilfredo Osuna Rodríguez, director of the special school ´Águedo Morales Reina´ of Ciego de Avila, said that although the center is not part of the experiment, during the explorer´s day they set their classrooms outside where they give lessons and all departments operate under trees, including the Principal´s office.
The III Training to be implemented in the ten municipalities of Ciego de Avila proposes the transformation of methods and styles of work in the educational institutions and the work of teachers and pupils with new plans and curricula, textbooks, methodological guidance and workbooks.
