In the portals of the institution it can also be acquired Fidel and Malcom X Memoirs of a meeting, literature text that highlights the welcome of the black Muslim leader to the Cuban President and the delegation of the island attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in September 1960.
There are similarly sold at reasonable prices that do not exceed 20 pesos in national currency, books ´The Caribbean and international relations´, ´La Trocha inside´, ´Notebooks of avilanian history´ and ´The last eight days of the president´ (referring to Carlos Manuel de Céspedes).
Since March 13 and until next 17 people in Ciego de Avila host the XXVIII edition of the International Book Fair, which is dedicated to Eduardo Heras León.
The event also reaches the towns of Jicotea, Ceballos, Vivero, Lugones, The Airport and Vicente, and the university campuses in the province.

Among those invited to the event are writers Reynaldo González, National Literature Prize; Jorge Luis Peña, Calendar Award; María Elena Llanas, National Publishing Award; Rafael de Águila, director of the Center for Literary Creation Onelio Jorge Cardoso; Roberto Viña, Virgilio Piñeira Award; and Elizabeth Motenaro, children and youth writer, poet and storyteller.
